Why I Like Liletta

In my years in practice, I have recommended may kinds of birth control for my patients. I know that no one solution is correct for what you may want, need, or your body needs. I could spend a lot of time reviewing the options but today I am going to limit myself to the IUD option.

Even within IUDs there are several options. Here are five reasons I like Liletta®:

  1. It works. Studies show less than one pregnancy per 100 women in one year.
  2. It lasts. Liletta is approved to prevent pregnancy for up to 6 years (the longest of any IUD).
  3. LILETTA is a reversible form of birth control. It can be removed at any time and fertility returns in less than a month.
  4. It’s affordable. If your insurance is Affordable Care Act-compliant it will almost always cover 100% of the cost of Liletta. We can check with your insurance to determine coverage. If you don’t have insurance coverage it is our lowest cost IUD. For pricing information please contact my medical staff.
  5. The company that owns Liletta is a 501 (c)3 not-for-profit company. Medicines360’s mission is to expand access to medicines for women regardless of their socioeconomic status, insurance coverage, or geographic location.

Whatever your birth control questions are I can help. Please call my office, 317-893-3131, to schedule an appointment.
